I am a friendly and approachable teacher who is passionate about music in general and the piano in particular. I am an experienced teacher, having taught for ten years in a secondary school, meaning that lessons are personalised and relaxed and I understand a range of learning styles and teaching methods to help you to develop. Lessons will also allow you to develop your knowledge of music as well as the skills involved in playing the piano and can be tailored to your needs - whether you are a complete novice, have had a few lessons in the past or have played for quite some time. Lessons can also be exam focussed or just playing for pleasure and building up your own personal repertoire. You will also get the opportunity to perform in student concerts.
I am also fully insured, DBS (formerly CRB) checked and have completed the Child Protection Awareness Training (CPAT) provided by the Musician's Union. Finally, I am a practising pianist, playing at weddings and events. This means my own repertoire and skills are always developing and I have experience of performing - something which I feel helps to put students at ease as I practise what I preach! Should you wish to take up or lessons or have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me.

My son started having lessons last year and has since passed his grade 1 exam. Rebecca makes learning fun and encourages Joe to play his own choices of music as well as more classical pieces. She is incredibly friendly and patient. I cannot recommend her enough. Victoria (Staffordshire)
My eleven year old daughter, Grace recently began piano lessons with Rebecca. She attends weekly sessions and is always extremely enthusiastic because her lessons are fun and challenging. Grace is making excellent progress and loves practising and completing her homework tasks. As a parent, I cannot recommend Rebecca highly enough. She is very patient and has really helped to encourage Grace which has increased her confidence. Heidi Goodwin (Staffordshire)
My daughter, Mia started having piano lessons with Rebecca just a few months ago. Already she has progressed so well and is about to start preparing for her grade 1 exam! Rebecca is very friendly and patient, and will go out of her way to help - I pestered her about which digital piano model we should buy for Mia and she spent time researching for us so we got the right one. Mia loves her lessons so much, she is now having a second lesson each week. That is recommendation enough for me that Rebecca is a wonderful teacher! Kerry Alcock (Stoke on Trent)
My experience with Rebecca Louise music was absolutely brilliant. Although I was only with Rebecca for a short amount of time, she helped me through a lot and was so supportive for my piano exam. Without Beccy's help and support, I wouldn't have had the motivation to have pass my exam. So thank you so much Beccy! :) Mas (Staffordshire)

I am so sorry we did not get chance to thank you on our wedding day, you were brilliant. Your playing during the ceremony was beautiful, thank you for learning to play as time goes by. We slowed down our exit so we could listen to you play for longer!
Was the service and performance you received what you expected? It was fantastic.
Was the service and performance good value for money? Excellent value for money. You kept our guests entertained during the ceremony and reception drinks.
How did my playing add to your special day or event? It was great that you didn't fuss, you just got on with it and moved from inside to out without us even noticing. The music was perfect as we just wanted background music that allowed people to talk.
Would you recommend me for other events? We will recommend you to anyone getting married in Staffordshire!

Rebecca played piano in our establishment on several occasions during 2015. She created a wonderful ambiance for our diners with many well known current and classical songs. She was certainly popular with our customers, who during their meal would applause their appreciation of the talented musician Adam Marszalek (Manager)
Wedding: May 2015 at Ingestre Hall, Staffordshire
Beccy played the piano during our wedding ceremony, drinks reception and wedding breakfast on Sunday 3rd May 2015. Prior to our wedding, we met and discussed the genre of songs we wanted to hear. Becky gave us examples of songs used for certain times and we chose a number ourselves. I asked her if she would play some of our favourite songs and she said it wouldn't be a problem. She sent me a couple of demos via email as she was practising these. During the ceremony we sang All You Need Is Love, which Becky led and accompanied on the piano. This was one of the highlights of the ceremony for us! Having the piano as background music during the drinks reception and wedding breakfast really added to our day. It was lovely hearing some of our favourite songs being played so beautifully.
Becky had contacted and visited the venue prior to the day so she knew what she needed to take. I didn't need to worry at all as she had it all covered! She had taken her digital piano for one room but also was able to use the Grand Piano at the venue.
What was really lovely, was a card Becky had left for us, which we opened the next day, with a CD with a selection of our songs! Listening to some of those songs made me cry! A fantastic service, value for money and she really played a massive part in our wedding day. Highly recommended. Thank you so much! Noosh & Emilio D'Avola x (Staffordshire)

"First of all we would like to say a huge thank you to Beccy for being a part of our wedding day.
We decided early on that we would like live music to be played throughout our drinks reception as our guests arrived at our venue from the church. All of our guests were commenting on how nice the music was; Beccy certainly kept our guests entertained whilst we were being dragged around the venue by our photographers.
Having live music really added to our day and set the scene perfectly - we had discussed with Beccy before the wedding what genres of music we would like her to play and the options she gave us were endless. We opted for classical, chart and a few show songs.
We would highly recommend Beccy to play at any function, she was completely professional and we didn't have to worry about a thing!
Many thanks once again!"

Wedding: June 2012 at Slaters Country Inn, Staffordshire
"In June 2012 we asked Rebecca if it would be possible for her to play the piano on our special day, our wedding. We chose a selection of our favourite songs to give to Rebecca. As we had a civil ceremony we asked if she could play, as the guests gathered at the venue. Lots of comments were made from the guests as this added an unusual touch to the day as it was something a bit different and Rebecca made it very personal. Everything was done in a professional manner from start to finish and we would highly recommend Rebecca to add a special touch to any special occasion."
